Code of conduct
Six rules. They apply to everyone.
Attendees, speakers, sponsors, staff and volunteers, in the venue, at the closing drinks, online, for the whole event.

Treat everyone with respect. Disagree with ideas, not with people.

No harassment. This includes unwanted attention, unwanted photographs, following someone, and comments about a person’s body, background, identity or beliefs.

Stop when asked. If someone says no, or asks you to leave them alone, do it the first time.

No recording of a person without their consent. Talks are recorded by us; the audience is not.

Sponsors sell in the Hall, not on the stages and not in the queues.

If you see something, tell us. You do not have to be the target to report.

Report to any staff member with a black badge, at the registration desk, or by email to conduct@orbena.example. Reports are read by two named organisers, kept confidential, and acted on during the event. We can remove a person from the venue without a refund.
